How freshwater pool systems operate

A freshwater system like the Naked Hybrid setup uses a smart digital controller to regulate the electrical flow sent to its electrode chamber (the OXI and ION cell). When the current passes through the copper and silver electrodes, it triggers electrolysis, releasing beneficial ions into the water. Silver ions help keep the water clear by targeting bacteria, while copper ions act as a natural defence against algae.

As the water continues through the system, it moves across titanium plates that generate a mild oxidising effect. This process creates tiny, almost undetectable levels of chlorine, which assist in breaking down organic material and other impurities to maintain clean, healthy water.

These systems are compatible with virtually all pool surfaces — even stainless steel — and can be installed in new builds or retrofitted to existing pools, plunge pools, and swim spas.
